Copacabana

I seriously had a hard time with this one. My son reminded me of my Barry Manilow years. I really did like this song and still do! I just don’t admit it.

30 Days of Music – Day 11 – A Song From Your Favorite Band

I Will – The Beatles, covered by my favorite Philly local artist, Jim Boggia.

30 Days of Music – Day 10 – A Song That Makes You Fall Asleep

Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring

I used to listen to it when I was in college to help me sleep at night. I’d put the record on the turntable and try to fall asleep before the album ended. Sometimes I’d have to play it more than once so that I’d relax enough to fall asleep.

I’ve had the privilege of playing the piece on my bass in the college-community orchestra. It is truly one of my favorite pieces.

30 Days of Music – Day 09 – A Song That You Can Dance To

Love Shack

Well the back yard comes to mind again. Al’s moves caught on.

Of course, I really wanted to put YMCA, but it would have to be the synchronized swimming version. sigh.
